    GALENA–Paul G. Ericksen entered this world on Sept. 11, 1945, in Antioch, and left us in Galena, on Aug. 12, 2016. Paul passed away at home under the care of Hospice of Dubuque, his wife Alice, son Jeff, and daughter-in-law, Korynne (Gabay). He was also continuously surrounded by the love of close friends and family. Be at peace, Paul. Be at peace.

    In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public services. Cremation rites have been accorded. The Furlong Funeral Chapel, Galena, is assisting the family.

    Services will be held at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 25, at the United Methodist Church, Galena. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Galena.

    Friends may call from 9:30-11:30 a.m. at the Galena Methodist Church.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, 2016, at Nativity BVM Catholic Church at Menominee, with Fr. Stephen Lundgren officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

    Visitation is from 3 – 8 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9 – 9:45 a.m. on Thursday at the Miller Funeral Home in East Dubuque, where the St. Ann’s Rosary will be recited at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday. Members of American Legion Post # 787 of East Dubuque will meet at the funeral home at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
